Brabham F1: Forgotten F1 Team

Описание к видео Brabham F1: Forgotten F1 Team

The Brabham F1 team has had drivers the likes of Lauda, Piquet, Hulme, Gurney and Brabham himself drive for the team, and with designers like Gordon Murray, it was always at the forefront of innovation, coming up with the BT46B fan car as well as pioneering the F1 pit-stop. So, how did such a team end up going out of business? What were the key moments?

In this video we analyse the team's rise, with Jack Brabham becoming the only driver to become champion in his own car, to its return to the top under Bernie Ecclestone's and Gordon Murray's stewardship with the BT49 and its later demise from the mid-80s to the early 90s.

We therefore go through Brabham's journey from Repco to the DFV, to Alfa Romeo, back to the DFV and to BMW.

You may have seen parts of this story in the series called Lucky! about Bernie Ecclestone.
