Wittenoom Adventure, surviving the asbestos.

Описание к видео Wittenoom Adventure, surviving the asbestos.

An adventure to Wittenoom and some secret locations where we visit the abandonned town of Wittenoom, Wittenoom Gorge and Karijini National Park.

We find a beautiful camp in Yampire Gorge. There is some rough country to explore and we get stuck on a steep hill.

We find the old Comms Hut at DME Hill has burnt down, after a pretty steep ascent to the top.

The team becomes trapped in Bee Gorge, we barely make it out. We follow some rough old tracks. And we drive to the scene of one of the world's worst industrial disasters. An old forgotten cemetery is relocated at the abandonned airstrip that was once one of the busiest airports in Western Australia.

WA4WD is a dedicated to exploring the outback of Western Australia. The team travels to remote areas for off the grid bush camping. The Aussie Bush Cook prepares all our meals in the bush. The WA4WD team believes we should do no damage to the bush, ourselves or our vehicles (they are needed to get us home).

The WA4WD team have been camping in the outback for more than 50 years, but we continue to learn from each trip. The team must make repairs without assistance if necessary. Water conservation is very important when away from civilisation.
The team looks for abandonned towns, lost cemeteries and forgotten railway lines. The focus is generally from the Pilbara south.
If anyone can see another camper, then we are too close.
Two members trained with the Australian Army many decades ago and use those bush skills to find tracks and navigate through the outback.
