In Uttar Pradesh's pantheon of bahubalis, Dhananjay Singh figures prominently with 41 cases against him. From a student leader to a politician facing charges of operating a gang, Dhananjay Singh has been wooed by virtually every political party in Uttar Pradesh. He has been with the JD(U), BSP, U.P's Nishad Party and, now, assisting the BJP in the Purvanchal region. Dhananjay Singh spoke to Rahul Shrivastava. In a candid interview, he denied ever having used a firearm. After getting convicted in a kidnapping case, he lost the chance to contest an election in Jaunpur but is certainly in the thick of things.
