Live, from Gulf Coast Clock Co in Pensacola, Florida...This is the cuckoo clock made by Schmeckenbecker and Regula, called appropriately the 'Farmer's Daughter'. This clock was also featured on our 'Noon...' and 'New Noon...' vids, but we felt it needed some spotlight attention after being featured on national television. The clock was made in Triberg, Germany in 1965, and features hand carved decorations, hand painted cabinet and figurines, and a Swiss music box. It has a Regula Burger Movement, that we rebuilt in shop (overhauled) and runs for approximately 30 hours between windings. The scene depicts a Farmer with pitchfork, ready to 'meet and greet' the rather unwelcome visitor, who is climbing a ladder to his daughter's window. The Daughter is seen when the music plays, as the boyfriend climbs up and slides down the ladder. The clock was brought to us in pieces, and was so broken apart that the original owner simply wanted to get rid of it, which we gladly accepted. After being rebuilt/re-bushed, replacing the music box governor, replacing the destroyed original verge, and replacing the missing chains weights and pendulum and bellow tops, the clock is being nearly given away at the marked price. We have enjoyed it while it has been here, but like all good things, they come to pass.
