Описание к видео Lunar Lander Test - Apollo 5 SA 204 Lunar Module Flight Test

Apollo 5 was the first flight test of the lunar module in space. This was an unmanned or uncrewed flight. The launch of the Saturn 1B was on January 22, 1968 from LC-37B in Cape Kennedy. The lunar lander ascent and decent stages separated as part of an abort test. After less than 12 hours in orbit the mission was complete. The ascent stage reentered the atmosphere on January 24, 1968 and the decent stage on February 12, 1968. Both were destroyed. This test paved the way to landing on the moon in 1969.
