Hi there!
This is another episode of Mister Interface reviewing one of the most important computer interfaces : the keyboard.
This time I review the cherry g80-3494 LYCUS 2 which has cherry red as keys.
The cherry red is a non-tactile non-clicky linear switch. This means it does not have a little bump when pressing and it does NOT give you auditory feedback via key clicks. Linear key switches are mainly used for gaming.
It has n key rollover which means that when used on PS2 it can take arbitrary combinations of keys. Note that when used on USB it is only 6 key rollover due to the USB spec.
Things I like about this keyboard : the nice cherry red feel, it makes me type very light, the lasered keys and the price if you live in Asia, else the price will be huge due to postage and packing fees.
Things I don't like about this board : the flimsy clamped construction and the price if you live outside asia.
Just to give you an impression I will type : " The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy old dog" on it, twice. One at my fastest and the second run trying not to bottom out on the keys.
