IB Park now looks like a futuristic city, what with 100ft tall skyscrapers, bullet trains, and hydrogen plants. The theme is Calcutta in 2050, created by artist Prasanta Pal, who is renowned for his work on the Deepika Padukone-starrer Padmaavat-themed pandal at Mohammad Ali Park a few years ago. There will also be a large drone-like “air ambulance” that the maker believes will be in use in 2050 and it will fly from one skyscraper to another off and on. The idol, by Pradip Rudrapal, is adorned in jewellery worth Rs 15 crore.
