Seoul experienced its heaviest daily November snowfall, with 16.1 cm blanketing the city on Wednesday (27 Nov), breaking a 1972 record. The storm marked the heaviest winter snowfall in over 100 years and the third heaviest in the capital since 1907.

At least four people lost their lives due to the severe weather, which caused widespread disruptions, grounding over 150 flights and halting ferry operations. Power outages affected more than 60 homes in Seoul and hundreds in nearby cities like Gwangju, though most were quickly restored.

Snow accumulation in Yongin peaked at 47.5 cm by Thursday morning, while heavy snowfall alerts remained in parts of Gyeonggi province. President Yoon Suk Yeol called for measures to minimise disruptions, including ensuring adequate public transport during rush hour.
