One of the real personal bonuses for me in posting these experiments is realizing I’m the one who needs the refresher, the reminder, the elbow in the side, the poke in the middle, the horrifying cliche overdone just one more time.
Case in point – reading my own work as if it’s someone else’s, as if I’m editing some over-the-transom submission, as if I’m the one paying me 300$US/hr to sit across from me as I help me build a better story.
(and also because i was having a bitch of a time editing a story i’d written)
