In this video I'm hoping to answer the question: Rotary Phase Converter (RPC) vs Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) ... Which is best ??? Now this is not a simple question to answer as you will find out. We will start by gaining a brief understanding of how the rotary phase convertor RPC and Variable Frequency Drive VFD work. This is followed by looking at the pros and conns of both the RPC and the VFD. The aim of this is to allow you to make an informed decision about weather a Rotary Phase Convertor RPC or Variable Frequency Drive VFD would be best for your application in your workshop. The video finishes by going through some real world scenarios to consider which device is best in each scenario.
