Bill Johnson continues his series, The Beauty of Wisdom, and teaches from Jesus’ beatitude “Blessed are the poor in spirit”. What does it mean to be poor in spirit? Staying conscious of our need for God is what keeps us positioned to recognize what God is doing in the earth. God is not looking for people who want fame and influence, but for those who will surrender their lives to Him, willing to say “yes” to whatever He is saying. Being poor in spirit, choosing to live in dependency on the Lord, is what positions us to be used powerfully by Him.
