Malcom Reed from Killer Hogs and Mark Lambert from Sweet Swine O Mine talk about the Backwoods Competitor Smoker -- the perfect smoker and the best all-around backwoods smoker model for commercial and competition use - and explain exactly how it works with the firebox, the water pan, the insulation and how the smoke flows inside the cooking chambers.

The Backwoods Competitor smoker is heavy-duty smoker with a fixed water pan and a side drain. The Backwoods Competitor smoker is perfect for larger capacities while needing portability for those looking to do catering or compete in the KCBS circuit, or a MIM contest. And like all backwood smoker models, has a double-insulated smoker design which provides the perfect cooking environment for slow-smoking meat. It can hold a steady temperature for hours with a small amount of food.

The backwoods Competitor smoker has 8 racks measuring 19 1/2" square, spaced 3 inches apart. The Competitor can handle 16 Boston Butt's, or 8 full briskets. It can hold 21 slabs of St Louis Style ribs with all the racks inside of it at max capacity. The Backwoods Competitor comes with stainless doors and latches, the new low profile smoke stack, non removable water pan and splatter guard and the Competitor smoker weighs 350 LBS.
