Icon is a mixed-use development made up of mostly condominiums. Completed in 2007, it was Singapore’s tallest condominium till 2008. Its record was taken by The Sail @ Marina Bay. Today, Icon still stands as one of the tallest condominiums in Singapore. (Icon can also be referred to as Icon Loft/Icon Condominium/Icon Residence)

There are 3 separate sections to the Icon development. The first floor is a mall named Icon Village, which consists of your usual shops. There is 1 set of retail/carpark lifts serving the entire section. The extension part is actually part of Altez, built way later.

The other two sections are the two residential towers, Icon Tower 1 & Icon Tower 2. To enter there is a sliding door at floor 1 which requires a keycard. After that comes a flight of escalators to the lift lobby. Icon Tower 1 has standard units below the sky garden on 31 while Icon Tower 2 is basically the opposite. Tower 1 is 147.2m tall and Tower 2 is 163m tall. Despite this the lifts run at about 3m/s. There are 2 sets of lifts provided for each tower, likely due to the configuration of the units. 2 sets of 3 for Tower 1 (as its wider) and 2 sets of 2 for Tower 2. All lobbies are linked together at the 7th and 31st floors.

The 7th floor consists of leisure spaces for residents which include a pool and a gym. Floor 31 is more of a social space where residents could relax and take in the view.
