In this video, board-certified NYC plastic surgeon Thomas P. Sterry, MD showcases before & after photos of one of his actual tummy tuck patients to describe the various stages of a typical recovery. He repaired this patient's abdominal muscles and a hernia, which flattened her tummy considerably. He also removed the stretched skin from her belly button down to her pubic area and smoothed the upper abdominal skin down in its place. The incision is not visible in the photos because it is covered by her underwear.
