085▶️ Lyr - Dark Ambient Jam (Soma Lyra 8 + Death by Audio Rooms reverb) - Part 1/3

After a few weeks of consideration, I traded my ASM Hydrasynth Explorer for a SOMA Lyra-8 "organismic" synth 😅
Always wanted to get one but was a bit afraid of this synth which hasn't been conceived to be tamed! 😼
However, even if really enjoyed playing with my Hydrasynth Explorer, it was somehow overlapping with a few of my over synths (Waldorf M, Digitone, Opsix...)

I wanted to capture the first hours spent with it. I mean, really the first hours as when I recorded this jam, only 2 hours had passed since I plugged it 😊

There are a few nice reviews on this synth and I must say that so far, they all seem to have made a true description of this synth. It's not very easy to have total control on it and it really is like interacting with a living being!

So here I played with the distortion of the Lyra-8, its vibrato, its integrated delay (which is adding the pulse at ~half of the video)...
The Lyra was passed through the Death by Audio Rooms pedal reverb to add a more depth and stereo width.
