I stopped gaming at 18 years old - Here's Why. There's a specific reason I stopped gaming at 18 years old. This is the story behind it and the reasons and side effects it had on me. Now I understand that this isn't universal by any stretch of the imagination, and for that I want to be careful not to speak for anyone else here. Understand that this is personal to me and the lessons that I learned. I decided to share them and see if you would enjoy them! I'm not saying that everyone should stop playing video games when they become an adult by any means.

I don't think gaming is inherently wrong, however, I believe it can be used in a wrong way, such as a retreat or escape from reality. You don't have to stop gaming like I did, but if what I described sounds like you, I would recommend examining your life to see if you should take action or not. The only thing that would get me back into gaming would be if it was a social interaction, say with some of my friends. This would allow it to be a way of destressing in a way that I feel like I could control and not let run away from me. This is why I stopped gaming at 18 years old.

Obviously, this is not attainable, which is kind of the point. Never stop growing and improving.
