The grandfather of accused Georgia school shooter Colt Gray has criticised the role of the teenager's father in the massacre.

Charles Polhamus, Colt’s grandfather, slammed his son-in-law and said he should receive the death penalty for the shooting.

The shooting by Colt left four people dead, including two students and two teachers, at Apalachee High School last week.

Polhamus spoke to the New York Post over the weekend and asserted Colin Gray, Colt Gray’s father, should receive much of the blame.

“Spending 11 years with that son of a b***h screaming and hollering every day — it can affect anybody. He’s evil. They couldn’t, they didn’t survive in it,” he said.

The grandfather claimed that the teen shooter “has to pay for what he did” but “was driven” to do what he did by his father.
