Описание к видео Auld Ridge - A Pact With Kólumkilli

First track from the now completed fourth full length Auld Ridge album entitled "Folklore From Further Out".

A Pact with Kólumkilli:
"
My time had come
I'd obtained my freedom after all these years
These moors were owed to none
A flock of my own and a wife at home
But oh gods how have I wronged you so

Through the moors at night I search for my Gullbra
But in my heart of hearts I know the truth
It's useless to search and I have nothing to prove
But only I could do her justice
No one knows these mountain pastures like I do
I search every fell and valley

Cloaked with fog an evil presence follows me in the darkness
It's her, I know

Though I never believed, I sense Gunnvor's thirst for blood
Like that wretch of mine back home, she slaughtered that ewe
in cold blood, I know... on that stormy night.
And now death's spirit follows me like a pact with Kólumkilli
She used my Scythe and pressed it so against the jugular, I know

I see her kneeled down by that brook, covered in Sheeps blood.
Lord, why must you push me so? I am no believer, but I am no foe
She exorcised that poor young ewe but the only devil on these moors is you!

Passing Gunnvor's grave, Rosa vivid in my mind I end my search and curse her.
But now this blizzard traps me so.

And frozen in my mind wander,
I summon most powerful passages.
As the wind grows stronger and my beard freezes,
I summon most powerful passages
This night, my fight with Grimur
I imagine myself in that world, I must overcome the cold:

The monster lived on moor or fen
The sea was in his power
He'd shamelessly drink the blood of men
The steaming flesh devour
The crags before him split apart
The rivers ran in spate
He left the rocks by magic art
His cunning was so great
His loathsome head aloft
He reared with hellish hate
He roared
His slavering lips with froth were smeared
And Vilely, his curses poured.
