The Stories in the Garden project, organized by the East Lansing Public Library and the 4-H Children's Garden, brings East Lansing's young-in-age and young-at-heart-together for a session of storytelling. However, what makes this event special is that the storytelling is led by teenage voluteers.

And although many of the teens, hailing for the community's high school and middle schools, participate here to complete required community service hours, there are many who believe that their efforts further the cause for a life-long enjoyment of reading.
