OO Gauge 70, Running Video Struggles

Описание к видео OO Gauge 70, Running Video Struggles

This is my seventieth video on my work with OO gauge. See part 1 of this series for my reasons for getting into OO gauge, when I already had a lot invested in working in N gauge, and I didn’t really have space available for a large, fully operational OO gauge layout. Also see my lengthy series on my N Gauge railway modelling for smaller and more complex scenery, and smaller scale trains running.
This part just represents another step in my struggles with trying to use my newly acquired Sony video camera to shoot running video. I could just mount to camera on a tripod and leave it there - but then you'd just get one static view, which wouldn't really employ the capabilities of the camera. But trying to hand-hold the camera and operate it whilst at the same time operating trains on the layout is a real struggle. I hope you find this video of some interest.
I did edit and upload this video in 1080p resolution, as I had requests to do that. I'm still a bit divided myself as to whether it's really worthwhile. It's quite a bit more awkward and time consuming for me to edit and upload the videos in 1080p, as opposed to the 720p that I was using before, and I'm not entirely convinced that the improvement in quality is worth all the extra time and work.
As always, if you have any questions about anything that I say or show in this video, or you would like more information about anything, please post in the comments below, and I will try to respond.
