This video will then show you pretty much how to remove the mother board so you can perform maintenance on it if you need to.

This is only my second TDS3000 Series scope to work on both have Attenuator Input Module problems as far as I can tell. So what I do know about these scopes is mostly related to how to remove and repair the Attenuator Assymbly. Some repairs don't require the removal only the top RF Shield to access the board. In later videos I'll show how to remove and replace the Relays on the TDS3054 and 3054B scopes Attenuator Assymblies. In several of the videos I talk but don't show how to remove the actual Attenuator Assemblies and the RF Cage around them. It is very difficult to do without breaking or damaging it or the motherboard, so beware if you have to go this route.

There are a few things that aren't in the video like showing the removal of the RF Shield over the Attenuator Modules. To remove it you have to twist/align four bendable tabs on the top of it. straighten them out then you can just lift up. To remove the two T-15 screws next to the BNC Input connectors use a T-15 Screw driver as a bit driver won't fit in the caged area. If you don't have one just use the T-15 bit and a 1/4" open end wrench. I also for got to include the removal of the connector by the inverter connector. To remove it lift the Motherboard and slide the connector keep back, then lift on the cable connector.
