Walk through Harmonica Yokocho. ハモニカ横丁を探検するの巻 # 102

Описание к видео Walk through Harmonica Yokocho. ハモニカ横丁を探検するの巻 # 102

Harmonica Yokocho spreads out in front of the north exit of Kichijoji Station. This shopping street has about 100 stores, mainly restaurants. There are plenty of popular gourmet foods, and there are many shops where people line up. This shopping street has its roots in the late 1940s, after World War II, as a black market in front of the ruined Kichijoji Station. Perhaps it's a remnant of the black market, but the narrow, intricate alleyways are lined with small shops in a chaotic manner, reminiscent of the good old days of the Showa era. It is also famous as a bar district, and at night, customers on their way home from work gather, showing a different liveliness than during the day.
