However, Universe Science Park makes it feel real for 140,000 guests thronging to the park annually. Since March 2022, Beat the Storm wind tunnel has been a star attraction. In this simulator, guests experience wind speeds up to 130 km/h. Creating such forces consumes much more power than you would think. Therefore, Universe needed to optimize energy efficiency, as well as mitigating harmonics and streamlining maintenance. Using VLT® HVAC Drive FC 102 with condition-based monitoring (CBM) and an advanced active filter, they solved all these challenges while reducing their electricity bill. What is remarkable is there was no need to compromise on performance.
