In Yu-Gi-Oh, a “hand trap” is a card that can activate during either player's turn from the hand in response to an opponent’s action or effect with the goal of disrupting their plays or gaining your own advantage.

Some hand traps however are more useful than others, and can either have terrible effects or do not justify their activation conditions. This list is going to focus on the worst hand traps in the game and why they should be avoided when deckbuilding.
