✨Conservationist Cary Fowler actively campaigned for the development of this Seed Vault. He reached out to the Norwegian Government and established this building.
✨All national, international, and regional gene banks deposit a huge variety of seeds here. Seed banks from all over the world deposit their most precious seeds here, like a safety deposit box for life itself.
✨Today, the vault is jointly managed by the Crop Trust, NordGen (the Nordic Genetic Resource Center), and the Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
