Educational Qualification (Essential & Desirable):
Project Scientist (I, II, III):
Essential: First Class Master's Degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) or Ph.D. in relevant fields such as Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanography, Ocean Engineering, Meteorology, Geophysics, Marine Geology, Oceanic Sciences, Marine Sciences, Physics, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related specializations. A minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying degree is usually mandatory.
Experience: Varies significantly by post code. Ranges from freshers (for some Scientist I posts) to substantial experience (3-7 years) in areas like ocean modeling, data analysis, data assimilation, instrument handling, international collaborations, business development, science communication, AI/ML applications, GIS, web development, etc., with a proven track record (e.g., SCI publications for research roles).
Project Assistant:
Essential: Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in disciplines like Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Zoology, Fisheries, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, BCA, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or equivalent. Basic computer literacy is required.
Desirable: Relevant experience in scientific data handling, field work, or laboratory assistance.
Project Scientific Administrative Assistant:
Essential: Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable: Good communication skills, proficiency in office software, and knowledge of Administration, Accounts, Finance, or Stores & Purchase procedures. Experience in a government or autonomous body setup is an advantage.
