Micro Precision machining 8mm Levin Lathe

Описание к видео Micro Precision machining 8mm Levin Lathe

Machining precision parts with the ball bearing Levin Jewelers Lathe takes over from the Monarch 10ee lathe on the very small diameters with ease. This is a Levin ball bearing 8mm jewelers lathe. This is a top quality miniature machine tool as useful as a full sized machine in its range and capacity using Webster Whitcome or 8mm collets.
I purchased this lathe from a dealer in used watch tools in the 1980s. The Levin lathe would traditionally be mounted on a desk with motor and jackshaft pulleys behind. This one is mounted on an aftermarket aluminum base and has a variable speed Hamilton beach reversing motor that makes a more compact unit. Other branded lathes are seen with the same arrangement making a more compact unit likely originating in the used market as I purchased this on a package deal having a full set of good collets but some are other brands as well as the cross slide is made by Boley, thanks for tuning in!
