Described as a shaman who wielded supernatural powers to control the people and paid tribute to the Wei dynasty, Himiko remains an enigmatic figure.

The exact location of Yamatai, however, remains a mystery, with various theories such as the Kyushu theory and the Kinai theory being proposed.
