Portable Exercise Pens for Snakes: Set-Up, Safety, Uses

Exercise pens designed for dogs may be used as temporary holding, exercise and enrichment areas, or training locations for snakes as long as safety is adhered to and the snakes are supervised. In this video I discuss how to set them up, how we use them, safety considerations to keep in mind, how to break them down, and I include footage of some of our snakes using them. Remember that any interactions with your snakes including exercise opportunities, training, and enrichment should not cause prolonged moderate stress or any severe stress to the snakes. These exercise pens are suitable for some snakes when supervised or semi-supervised. They should not be used to permanently or temporarily house snakes and they should not be left completely unsupervised in them.
