FG Calls Committee Meeting, As Labour Insists On May 31 Minimum Wage Negotiation

Conversations on a new national minimum wage have reached a fever pitch, as Nigeria stands on the verge of a nationwide strike over the testy matter. Following the ultimatum issued by organised labour, the Federal Government has summoned a meeting of the 37-member Tripartite Committee on the New National Minimum Wage, in order to beat the deadline. Among the agenda of the meeting are presentations by the Federal Government, states and Organised Private Sector of their minimum wage proposals
