Thinking of hiking in Sri Lanka? Horton Plains, in the Sri Lankan Highlands, is a great place to start. This 9km loop offers a relatively easy hike without compromising on the views! Horton Plains has a lovely cool climate and is home to many species that are endemic to Sri Lanka including the endangered Bear Monkey! 🐵🏞️

Just watch out for the leopards!😉

📃 Park Opening Times: 6 am- 4pm (It’s recommended to arrive when the park opens to get to the viewpoint “World’s End” before the clouds roll in)

📃 Park Entrance Fees (for foreign visitors): Adult $25 / Child $15 / Vehicle $10

📃 Hike Distance: 9km (3-4 hours)

📃 Hike Difficulty: Easy-moderate, mostly flat

📃  Maximum altitude: 2300m above sea level

⚠️ No plastic allowed in the park
