Amex Exploration just reworked the numbers on their Perron project in Quebec, and the new study is a stunner. By phasing production and starting with toll milling, they’ve slashed upfront costs from $229M down to just $77M. The mine plan now runs 17+ years, with average output of nearly 100,000 ounces of gold per year.

At $2,500 gold, Perron carries a $1.1B value. But at today’s $3,500 gold, that number explodes to $1.8B — with payback in less than 6 months. Economics this good rarely stay independent for long, making Perron a prime takeover target.
