Life is Strange: Before the Storm - "Dreams of William" (Guitar Cover)

This song is a pure sonic representation of why I love Life is Strange and it never fails to bring me to tears. That simple guitar motif paired with layered reverse effects and haunting vocals sends chills down my spine every time. Additionally, the way the song structure phrases Chloe's character is simply pristine. Starting with that same innocent theme played on a piano, only reversed; perhaps phrasing the beginning stages of grief. Then it evolves to pure rage and unhinged chaos that is almost a cacophony of fear. Finally, it returns to that guitar motif; paired with those hauntingly beautiful vocals.

"How do I grow then, when I've been alive for the best part of my life feeling alone. With you. Without you."

Then we're left with a feeling of acceptance. It's just pure, unfiltered real, raw and tangible emotion that serves as perfect uncurrent for the overarching themes of Life is Strange. Daughter has single handily changed my opinion on the gravity that Indie-Folk music can hold and they've quickly become one of my favorite bands. I sincerely hope they get the fame they deserve.

(You're doing yourself a disservice if you haven't played both Life is Strange and/or Before the Storm. Go play them...like right now.)
