Life of a school chalk, collab with @newbie_wcs (IG) and

I know I say that I’m excited everyday (which is true) but I’m extra excited today because I got to work with my first chalk love: school chalk.

If you are a real chalk lover like me, then your first love would have been school chalk too. Gym chalk is a recent discovery and is stealing the whole show but sometimes it’s important to pay homage to the OG - school chalk.

And this collab does exactly that. Through this community, I’ve discovered that gym chalk isn’t available or accessible everywhere, or even if it is, it comes at an extremely high premium. Therefore some artists have to work with what is available - school chalk.

I admire them so much because school chalk was not made for ASMR. That stuff is hard, inflexible and difficult to dissolve. Yet, my co-artists in this collab manage to specialize in this artistry.

First, we have @newbie_wcs who is a lovely young, up and coming artist. She really showed me that you don’t have to have much to express your passion in chalk asmr. Even with the little she’s got as a student, she tries her best to post and hopes one day to build up her resources to fully express her talent. It’s very important that we support all types of artists in this community so I urge you to show @newbie_wcs all our love and support.💕💕

Then we have @experiement_bindu, an absolute maestro. Her creations are inspirational. Textures are crisp, powdery, dusty and oh so enjoyable. Please let’s give her all our love & support as well.💕💕

I know a lot of you just like to see the crush so this life cycle is in reverse - starting with the crushing and then about 3 minutes of how I made this. It’s fabulous stuff. First of all, the school chalk brought so much crispiness and a unique crunch to the reform.

Also, the colours of the jumbo school chalk I used were so SO good, especially when I shaved them. I couldn’t even pick a favorite, but with a gun to my head I’d probably say the red/magenta-ish colour 😍.
