Adding more Cymbals or Pads to your Yamaha DTXpress IV

Описание к видео Adding more Cymbals or Pads to your Yamaha DTXpress IV

I searched the web long and hard on how to go about adding additional cymbals to my Yamaha DTXpress IV Special II electronic drum module and have to be honest, there was not a whole lot of info out there so I hope this video helps those of you like me in search of the "holy grail" that is, adding additional pads/cymbals to your electronic drum module.

What you will need:
1. The Additional Pads: In my case I added a Yamaha 15” PCY150S 3-zone (Additional Ride) and a Yamaha 13” PCY130SC 3-zone pad (China)
2. a Y Cable, 1/4" Stereo Male-Dual Stereo Female for every splitable channel on your module that you would like to add an additional pad to.
3. Stereo Instrument Cables
4. Drum Sampling software: I'm using Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2.0 (Use this if you want to use the Best in the Business)

Running this in stand alone mode or through your DAW of Choice, I personally get the job done inside of Cubase 8.5 Pro. I have also added two Toontrack Expantions, "Toontrack Metal Machinery SDX" and "Toontrack The Rock Warehouse SDX" each az mind blowing as the other and right now you can check out their online store for amazing festive deals.
