Sydney Metro Northwest; the last day of Station Link buses

Описание к видео Sydney Metro Northwest; the last day of Station Link buses

The new Sydney Metro Northwest has created Australia's first ever metro line, bringing driverless trains between Chatswood and Tallawong. However part of the construction process required the conversion of the pre-existing Epping - Chatswood Rail Link from double decker suburban trains to cater for the new driverless metro trains. From 20th September 2018 to the 25th May 2019 the line was shut down, with buses replacing trains on the line.

Known as Station Link, this highly organized rail replacement service saw 120 new buses provide service on seven Station Link bus routes to provide a turn up and go service while the line was shut. Each bus received special pink livery and was promoted by our goddess Lee Lin Chin.

In this video we see Station Link buses during their last full day of operation. We mostly see Transdev NSW buses operating on route SL1 between Epping and Chatswood, with buses operating every 5 minutes throughout the day. We see Volvo B8RLE's and Mercedes-Benz O500LE's with Bustech VST bodies. We also see a couple of CDC Hillsbus' Volvo B7RLE's with Volgren 'Optimus' bodies. Inbetween shots we also see a couple of regular route service buses.

We end the video with a message from our goddess and some photos of the Station Link buses.
