Unlicensed Landfill Site - Treatment & Containment

Описание к видео Unlicensed Landfill Site - Treatment & Containment

A housing developer purchased land in the village of Comber, Northern Ireland, as they planned to build a large housing development there, totaling 900 houses. Before the planning office would approve the project, the developer had to deal with the aftermath of an unlicensed landfill site that had been operating on the land they had bought for the past 10 years. The developer contracted ATG Group to provide a solution to this problem.

Initial projections put the cost of excavating and legally disposing of the waste at approximately £7.5 million, which would have made the development uneconomical. Through innovative planning, ATG Group was able to offer an affordable solution that met planning requirements, ensuring the development was still financially viable and able to proceed.
