Welcome to our dedicated video on solving numerical problems and assignments from Chapter 5: Work and Energy. This video is perfect for Class 11 physics students looking to master the concepts through practical problem-solving.

Chapter 5 Work and Energy

Assignment 5.1 : A box having 40 kg mass is dragged on a frictionless inclined surface to a height of 8 meters. If the inclined plane makes an angle of 20 degrees with the earth, find the work done against gravity?

ASSIGNMENT 5.2 : A crane holding 5000 kg of mass at the height of 12 meters. Suddenly the crane un-holds the mass. Find the kinetic energy of the mass just before striking the ground.

NUMERICAL 1: A car carrying truck unloads a 1500 kg car using a plank. If plank makes an angle of 30 degrees with the ground and its upper end is at 2 meters height, what will be the work done by gravitational force? Also draw force displacement graph for it.

NUMERICAL 2 : A car having a total mass of 1500 kg (including the driver) is travelling at a speed of 40 km per hour through a straight path. How much work will be required to stop the said car if its brake fails and engine turns off?

NUMERICAL 3 : A ball of mass 100 g is released from the height of 30 meters. If the ball encounters an air resistance of 0.4 N, find the kinetic energy of the ball just before striking the ground?
