This backing track is inspired by the 2 chord Frank Zappa tune called “Nanook Rubs It”. It’s an excellent opportunity to practice using you minor blues scale. (The original key is Eb, that track is on Bandcamp) It features 2 chords: Em7 and C7.

E minor blues is the best choice for this. The catch is on the C7: The Bb note in the C7 chord is the b5 blues note in the E minor blues scale. The B natural, which is also in the E minor blues scale, clashes with the C7 chord, so you should try to avoid it, or at least do not linger on it! Listen to the actual tune, it is absolutely CHOCK FULL of great musical ideas!
