2025 Altima family sedan as a well-rounded player who hits a few home runs but maintains a decent batting average. It's reasonably priced, fuel-efficient, comfortable, and stylish. The base four-cylinder engine is more than enough, and it can get up to 39 mpg on the interstate. The continuously variable automatic gearbox (CVT) smoothes out any unwanted humming. The five-passenger cabin is roomy, the seating is pleasant, all-wheel drive is an option, and the infotainment system is competitive in its class. Additionally, there is a good amount of standard safety equipment and respectable trunk capacity. The Altima feels more visually sporty with the new Special Edition package for 2025, but even the entry-level non-hybrid Honda Accord cars feel more agile in contrast. To put it briefly, the Altima is a good utility vehicle in the mid-size family sedan segment, but it falls short of providing the kind of intense thrills only a true sports sedan can; the competitor Accord gets much closer to achieving this. But for a wide range of consumers, the Altima's features are more than sufficient.
