Ancient warrior blades made modern by Hydra blades

Blade designer and Filipino Combat Systems practitioners Rob Cabrera and Tuhon Rey Dionaldo have taken design cues from the past to make professional fighting tools for the modern warrior.

I was especially drawn to the short sword/machete called the FURY which was inspired by the ancient Moro warriors from the Philippines who used the Pinsawali short sword.

Rob Cabrera was just as interesting as his blades. He is not only a designer but he has been studying and training in Filipino knife fighting for years. He is a member of FCS (Filipino Combat Systems) as well as the owner of Filo Bladeworks.

The combination of combat proven designs, extreme high quality materials, modern engineering and a rich history of blade culture makes Hydra blades an more of an investment vs a simple purchase.
