The legend: For over a century, kids in Abbeville have been warned – stay inside after dark, or Huggin' Molly will chase you down, wrap you in a bone-crushing hug, and scream right in your ear! Some say she's the grieving ghost of a mother who lost her child, forever searching for comfort. Others claim she was just a clever way for parents to enforce curfew. Either way, she's Alabama's unique boogeyman (or boogeywoman!).
