Major Mike Ettore is a highly successful Infantry Marine with multiple combat tours and also the recipient of the prestigious Leftwhich Trophy. He chose to retire rather than succumb to the changing Marine Corps - which dropped standards to allow women in the combat arms. His example of moral courage should be a clarion call for General Officers to speak truth to power.
