In today's video we will be going over a game played by one of the best players at the turn of the 20th century. His name is Carl Schlechter. This video was requested by a viewer; thanks for the suggestion. Carl Schlechter was a leading Austrian chess master and he is known for drawing a world championship match against Emmanuel Lasker. He was the first play to seriously challenge Lasker for the World title. He is also regarded as one of the most gentlemanly players in history. In this game, Schlechter is playing white against Geza Maroczy. This game was from the Trebitsch Memorial in 1907.
