Hi, Clara here, last week, we talked about a problem of lines are not cut straight, if you have not check it, please click the link up here. Today we will tell a function of HypCut, the ‘Smart Pierce’, you can find the detailed explanation in this video. First time being here? Nice to meet you, please subscribe to this channel, and get update every week for a new video, thank you.
A viewer wrote to me, saying “Hi, Clara, do I need to set segment pierce after I tick the ‘Smart Pierce’?’, well, the following content could explain it clearly.
First, not all Hypcut system could enable ‘Smart Piece’ function, it is only allowed if HypCut system is working together with BLT smart cutting head.
First, let’s talk about BLT cutting head. The BLT series cutting head could monitor the perforation process in real time through sensors. When it senses that the hole has penetrated, it stops perforating and immediately executes the next action, which effectively saves perforation time. At the same time, it can avoid blast holes, scrapped parts, damage to nozzles or lenses caused by cutting when the perforation fails and reduce maintenance costs.
Imagine that we set 3-stage and segment is selected. Without ticking ‘Smart Pierce’, the perforation process will be carried out step by step in strict accordance with the parameters we set, and all '3 stage', '2 stage' and '1 stage' perforations will be completed. But if we check the ‘Smart Pierce’, the system will still strictly follow the parameters we set when perforating at the '3 stage'. If during the '3 stage' perforation, the sensor has monitored that the hole has been penetrated, that is, the perforation is successful, it will send the information to HypCut system, and HypCut system will no longer perform the '2 stage' and '1 stage' perforation, but It is to directly descend to the cutting height to execute the cutting command.
Therefore, we still need to set the perforation parameters correctly, even if we choose the ‘Smart Pierce’.
Last, a bonus, sharing a cutting parameter of 20000W for 30mm carbon steel, it used ‘Smart Pierce’, as usual, only for reference, don’t copy and use them, it is absolutely wrong.
