Panel Description

The one-stop-shop has been one of the most significant changes resulting from the review of the data protection legal framework. But what does it mean, in practice? What have the results been so far? Has it contributed to an easier / more solid implementation of GDPR provisions across Europe? This panel aims to give an overview of the implementation of the one-stop-shop mechanism, the issues surrounding it, what it has already managed to achieve and what can be / is expected to achieve in the future. The panel will address with the following questions:

What does the OSS mean, in practice?
What have the results of the OSS been so far?
Has it contributed to an easier, more solid implementation of GDPR provisions across Europe?
How can it further contribute to more consistent GDPR implementation?
