Also looking at a lot of other videos where the jeeps make it up that 4' ledge, it's because there are a lot of rocks stacked up to the ledge whereas for me on this day there were no rocks there to help me. The Vnotch video I have starts with me standing at the ledge, it comes up almost to my chest!
it will show you what I was trying to get p and over. Then I took a crack at the V-Notch and I think almost had it. If I could have seen what the camcorder was seeing I would have made adjustments and maybe got up. But the dirt was muddy/clay like and not very cooperative at all. Additionally and gross there was just tons of cow poop on the trail as this is one of may trails they travel to get to water. All of Kane Creek Canyon actually you will find cattle.
There are technical spots on this trail. If you choose the 4' ledge it's the most difficult part of the trail but you can, or used to be able to, get around it to the left like I eventually did. Had I not been by myself I would have been more aggressive. A spotter can be a big help too.
