BRR! Today, the cold arctic air dives south across the Midwest. Temperatures getting near or below zero Thursday morning. The coldest air into parts of Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota. Temperatures 5-15 degrees below zero possible.
Today, temperatures will drop steadily through the day and turn FRIGID by Thursday morning. Winds will also pick up by 9am, as the cold front drops south. North winds gusting up to 30 mph will make it feel like the single digits by 2 PM. Make sure to check on family, friends, and pets as the cold settles in through Thursday afternoon. Snow potential: Wednesday morning and afternoon, a few ice pellets and flurries possible in eastern Nebraska. The best light snow chance will be out west from Cherry county and south. Light accumulations with the snow Wednesday morning.
