The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore was the controversial retrospective published by Rita Skeeter following his death.

Dumbledore is a fascinating character whose backstory has, in my opinion, been underserved in the movies and has been even more underserved since, especially with Crimes of Grindelwald being more underwhelming than what a lot of us were hoping for. I personally like to believe his motivations err more towards the grey area of the morality spectrum, because when you think about it, it just makes sense. There's a reason why the majority of the Wizarding World see Dumbledore as flawed and capable of missteps and mistakes, with shortcomings in his judgement. And they do not hold him to be the Paragon of virtue and morality that Harry does, and that is perhaps a product of his upbringing, which was may I remind you was very much the design of Dumbledore himself. Stay tuned for a full essay on the subject shortly.

For those of you who don't know, the Harry Potter series of both books and movies hold a special place in my life... and in my lies. Whatever that means.

This is where the fun begins.
