Hi everyone! OKKO twins here :)

What do you plan with 2 days free? A trip to Cork, Ireland! We know Dublin is the city most tourists visit, but don't forget to add Cork to the must-see places in Ireland. It is only 2.5 hours by public bus from Dublin, so this place is easy to navigate and visit for travelers without a car. We ended up going to Cork on two particular rainy days, but that is the true Irish weather - very unpredictable (with somewhat predictable rain). But did we let the rain stop us from exploring? Nope!

Arriving around 2pm, we dropped our bags and visited the:

St. Patrick's Street: main shopping street!
Nano Nagel: extraordinary Nun who helped educate and create schools for the poor. We highly recommend the museum tour, which lasted about 1 hour approximately.
English Market: small, but oh so fascinating! There are many small stalls/stores selling food and small items. It's a great place to eat, with many restaurants using ingredients from the market.

Things in Cork close early, and most attractions close around 5pm. This leaves plenty of time to explore Cork's many cafes and restaurants in the evening. Or, as we did, shop by Penny's (Primark) for warm, dry clothes!
